The Art of Flute Playing
for the pre-college flutist

The San Diego Flute Academy is a friendly, inspiring, and supportive environment to learn the art of flute playing.

Private Flute Lessons

Private flute lessons provide an emphasis on technical, musical and performance skills as applied to standard flute repertoire. For more serious flute students, additional classes and music education tracks are offered to prepare for competitions and evaluations such as MTAC's Certificate of Merit, orchestra auditions, and pre-college preparation.

Recitals and Festivals

Ms. Alina's studio recitals typically occur in December and June. Students are also encouraged to participate in San Diego Flute Guild recitals and the spring flute festival.

Summer Flute Retreat

Summer flute retreats are held in Encinitas to explore ensemble and solo performance.

Virtual Ensembles

Music-making doesn't have to stop during a pandemic. As needed, we continued to make music virtually.

Flute Ensemble

We love to play music with others. Flute ensembles are often formed in preparation for chamber music festivals, recitals, as well as during summer flute camp.

Orchestra Auditions

Many students pursue orchestral performance in addition to studying privately. Currently, students from the San Diego Flute Academy play in the Civic Youth Orchestra, San Diego Youth Symphony, and Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra.

Please inquire if you are interested in preparing for a flute audition.
